We are pleased to announce that MAB Ecology’s Director Giles has successfully attained Bat Earned Recognition AL1 Annex B. The Bat ER (Earned Recognition) Class Licence allows Giles to deal with low impact bat licences much more efficiently as an accredited consultant.
The ‘Earned Recognition’ approach, as developed by Natural England, CIEEM and the Bat Conservation Trust, can be achieved following rigorous assessment and accreditation of a consultant’s competency in undertaking survey work, and for designing and implementing effective mitigation.
Now that Giles has this accreditation, professional mitigation standards – which lead to better outcomes for bat conservation – can be maintained in a way that is both quicker and cheaper. This will be of great benefit to our clients whose projects incur low levels of impact.
